He was predeceased by: his parents, Horst Franz and Renate Franz; his son Steven Franz; and his sisters, Erika and Karin Franz.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Franz; his children, Ronald J. Franz (Nicole), Nicholas H. Franz (Rebecca Fahn) and Cristina Franz (Tony Ciampa); his grandchildren, Jaxson Franz, Courtney Snow, Victoria Franz, Lucas Franz, Mia Franz, Evan Ciampa and Sam Ciampa; and his siblings, Volker Franz, Juergan Franz and Renee Franz.
