She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Franklyn, Stefie Norem, Bill and Anamae Freehauf; and her godfather John Manifold.
She is survived by: her son Oscar; her parents, Tony Freehauf and Anita Freehauf; her sisters, Stefie Shen (Paul) and Anamae Funnell (Tom); her siblings' children, Liam, Luci, Leo Shen, Ace, Archer and Toni Funnell; and her pet Emmit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sarah's name can be made to Rush University Hospital, Neurosurgery Research Unit, or St. John's Lutheran Church.
