It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley L. Swithin (Joliet, Illinois), who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Joseph D. Swithin, Sr.; her parents, John Barnes and Minne Barnes (Metz); and her brothers, John and Robert Barnes.

She is survived by : her children, Kay Morey, Joe Swithin (Vicki) and Karen Westendorf (Ralph). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Westminster Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
