We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2025, at the age of 90, Shirley Mae Daniel of Joliet, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Maske and Augustine Maske; her husband Clarence "Ed" Daniel; her siblings, Harold Maske (Bernice), Laverle Mackey and Lewis Maske (Carol); her nephews, Tim Mackey and Rob Mackey; and her great-nephews, Charles "George" Whitaker and Christopher Schall.
She is survived by: her sister Esther Mackey; her nieces and nephews, Ruth Silverman (David), Teena Mackey, Patrick Mackey (Christine), Pam Wyant, Timarie Maske, Sharon Whitaker (Charles) and Sandra Schall (Norman); and her children, Becca Shaw (Dan), Meredith (Joey Pharo), Ashley Calgaro (Jake), Laura Kritz (Zach), Jeffery Cole, Nikie and Kody Brand. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Aunt Shirley's name to Sunny Hill Nursing Home (https://sunnyhillnursinghome.com) or the Will County Humane Society.
