She was predeceased by: her parents, Stavros Vezirakis and Andonia Vezirakis; her husband Peter; and her siblings, Marika, Aristea, Ellinitsa, Demetra (Bebeca), Argiro and Yianni.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jim" (Sonia) of West Newbury, MA, Antoinette "Annette" (Ken Caniglia) of Chicago, Steven "Steve" (Ivona) of Plainfield, IL and Areta "Rita" Pontikes (Michael) of Park Ridge, IL; her grandchildren, Andrew Caniglia, Angela Sperelakis, Gabriel Caniglia, Alexander Sperelakis, Magdalena Pontikes, Sebastian Caniglia and Stacey Pontikes; and her sister Chrisoula. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 4:30 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
