We announce the death of Stephen M. Gleason of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gleason and Theresa Gleason; his brothers, Brian Gleason (Susan) and Joseph Gleason (Debbie); the mother of his children Linda Jean Gleason; his daughter Lisa Ann Gleason; and his pets, Lassie, Zoe, Tiger and Izzy.

He is survived by: his children, Shawn Michael Gleason (Grace) and Megan Elizabeth Gleason; his granddaughter Mira Grace Gleason; his goddaughter Katelyn Confer (Christopher); his daughter Lauren Tuider (Cody); his siblings, Dave Gleason (Dawn), Wayne Gleason and Susan Gleason; his nieces and nephews, Shawn Beth (Adam), Baron, John Gleason, Daniel Gleason and Mollee Gleason; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Liam Samuel, Brian Thomas, Marlee Mae, Owen Alexander, Benjamin Cole and Milo Nolan; his cousin Jackie Muir; Aubree, Mason, Brian Depung, Andrew Tomac (Sharon) and Cody Suhling (Stephani). He is also survived by friends; and lastly, his loyal grand dogs.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (23060 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL 60431).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his children, Shawn and/or Megan Gleason.
