She was predeceased by: her parents, Judith Waznis (Dobbs) and Stanley Waznis. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Pekol; her brothers, Stanley Waznis, Jr. (Lucia) and Steve Waznis (Cheryl); her sons, Scott Pekol (Jeana) and Sean Pekol; her grandsons, Luke and Zach Pekol; her nieces and nephews, Matthew, Kyle, Shannon Waznis and Bobby Pekol; her close friend Lois Dobbs; and her friend Sue.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to The Alzheimer's Association Greater Illinois Chapter would be greatly appreciated.
