The family announces the passing of Suzanne M. Gentile of Joliet, Illinois on August 29, 2026. Suzanne, born on July 7, 1956, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard S. Bortoli and Anna M. Bortoli; and her brother-in-law James Landis. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Adrianna Gentile, Isabella Leasure and Dylan Leasure (Faith); her sisters, Rozanne "Rose" Landis and Marianne "Mimi" Longoria (Steve); and her nieces and nephews, Ashley Hylka, William Landis (Kim), Michael Landis (Amber) and Alex Hylka (Bree). She is also survived by numerous cousins and many good friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (600 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (1320 E Cass St, Joliet, IL 60432).
