He was predeceased by: his parents, Earmond Lee Herrod and Gertie Mae Herrod; his wife Evangelist Markettia Ann Herrod; and his brother Larry L. Herrod. He is survived by: his children, Auredia of Joliet, IL, Angelique of Joliet, IL, Quintin of Joliet, IL, Antionette Parker of Bourbonnais, IL and Amanda Herrod of Indianapolis, IN; his brothers, Earmond Lee Herrod of Maine, David Herrod of Joliet, IL and Robert Herrod (Carla) of Broadview, IL; his aunts, Lula Williams of Chicago, IL, Barbara Green (James) of Park Forest, IL and Daisy Herod of Joliet, IL; and his friend JoAnna Grose. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Community Church of God in Christ (415 Parks Ave, Joliet, IL 60432). A burial was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
