William R. Krefting Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William R. Krefting of Joliet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As William departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved William. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Krefting and Catherine Krefting; his brothers, Richard Krefting and Jack Krefting; and his brother-in-law Larry Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Mellisa Grivetti (Paul Brodell) and William Krefting (Charlene); his grandchildren, Luke Krefting and Katie Krefting; and his siblings, Ralph Krefting (Paula) and Bette Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home (507 S State St, Manhattan, IL 60442). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
