She was predeceased by: her parents, Ismael, Sr. Ortiz and Maria Ortiz; her husband James Evans; and her siblings, Ismael Ortiz, Jr., Sarita Ortiz and Marybeth Ortiz.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie Matos (Maribel Santiago), Eileen Svarz (Joe) and Denise Matos; her grandchildren, Yenessa Meneses, Felix Serrano, Katelynn Svarz, Kaylee Svarz, Joey Svarz, Amanda Steg (Dave), Alyssa Seleski (Aaron), Anthony Roncone, Alexis Roncone, Vinnie Molnar, Annabella Evans, Destiny Evans, Yolanda Evans and AJ Evans; her great grandchildren, Jon Dillon, Krystal Steg, Ethan Steg, Evalynn Steg, Robert Steg, James Steg, Noah Seleski, Leilani Seleski and Odin Seleski; and her siblings, Elsie Montalvo (Thomas) and Manuel Ortiz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Naperville (24021 Royal Worlington Dr, Naperville, IL 60564). A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (701 S Eola Rd, Aurora, IL 60504).
