It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Walter of Jonesboro, Illinois, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Walter to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Benefield Mallette and Anna Mallette (Culp); her husband Herman "Shady" Walter; and her aunts, Flossie Hess and Marie Everingham.

She is survived by : her son Larry Walter (Debra) of Anna; and her niece Denise Stallings (Ronnie) of Metropolis. She is also survived by other relatives and special friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Medical Center Volunteer Foundation.
