In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Myrtle had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Myrtle may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Lambert and Lora Lambert (Allen); her husband Ernest Martin; and her son Keith Martin of Jonesboro. She is survived by: her children, Red (Beth Martin) of Jonesboro, Judy Martin of Owensboro, KY, Tee (Ken Kinchius) of Sellersburg, IN and Maggie (Darrel Kline) of Ballwin, MO. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home (800 Public Square, Jonesboro, IL 62952). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the New Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Food Pantry at Salem Lutheran Church.
