He is survived by: his wife Glenda Monson; his children, James Lamont Kadel (Julie) of Edgington, Elizabeth Sharon "Ann" Dixon (Mike) of Aurora, Illinois and Christine Lynn Rooth (Ron) of Joy; his grandchildren, Ashley Rooth (Deven Olson), Austin J. Rooth (Shelby Downey), Tyler Dixon, Austin P. Dixon (Karli), Sarah Dunlop (Steven) and Kristin Kadel (Jake); his great grandchildren, Della Rose, Rowan James and Ashton James; and his siblings, Joyce Hanks (Don) of Lone Tree, Iowa and William Kadel (Donna) of Buffalo Prairie, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
