He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clarence and Lucille C. Retherford (Moses); his sister Dixie Keller; his grandson Tyson Dunn; and his children-in-law, Denise Retherford and Mark Dunn.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Steve Retherford, Rod (Dory Retherford), Doug (Lynn Retherford), Randy (Lori Retherford), Brad (Debbie Retherford) and Brenda Dunn (Bruce Retherford); and his sister Corlie Krueger. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Joy United Methodist Church or the Joy Fire Department.
