She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rister and Fern Rister (McEwen); her son Derek Downs; and her former husband Rick Downs. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Lindsey Owen (Ryan), Riker Baldwin and Kara Baldwin; her husband Melvin Baldwin; her sons, Brian Downs (Dee Dee) and Chris Baldwin; and her brothers, Bob Rister (Cathy) and Bill Rister (Carla).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vickery Funeral Chapel - Ridgway (602 E Edwards St, Ridgway, IL 62979). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Old Cottonwood Cemetery (19687 Cottonwood Cemetery Ln, Omaha, IL 62871).
