He was predeceased by: his parents, Katarzyna Janik and Andrzej Janik; and his siblings, Wladyslaw Janik, Stanislaw Janik, Ludwika Strama and Maria Fit.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Janik; his children, Zofia Maka (Jozef), Andrzej Janik (Anna), Marian Janik (Maria) and Piotr Janik (Maria); his grandchildren, Monika Baczynski (Kamil), Magdalena Chodorowicz (Bogdan), Sylwia Kosmowski (Andy), Joanna Katterman (Zachary), Jozef Janik (Natalia), Jan, Daniel Janik, Lukasz Janik (Honorata), Adrian Janik (Veronica) and Sabina Janik; and his great grandchildren, Elisa, Julian, Kaya, Sebastian, Natalia and Noah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
