He was predeceased by: his parents, Harbans Lal and Puran Dai Tejpal. He is survived by: his son Rajeev (Raju); his wife Anita Tara; his sons, Sonny (Shefali), Raju and Ashu; his grandchildren, Shaan, Jai, Nikash and Anish; and his sisters, Bimla Sharma (late Keval Sharma), Parvesh Sharma (late Satish Sharma) and Raman Sharma (Vijay Sharma). He is also survived by children, and grandchildren.
