She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Phelps and Edith Brackett Phelps; her siblings, Robert Phelps and Barbara Snyder; and her son-in-law Bill Hiltenbrand.
She is survived by: her husband David Werdin; her daughters, Cindy Hiltenbrand, Carol Alfrey (Dan), Beverly Richardson (Mark) and Julie Kettelkamp (Karl); her grandchildren, Laura Fennel (Dale), Lindsey Durham (Tom), Matt Alfrey, Natalie LaRocque (D. J.), Ian Richardson (Katie), Erin Clementz (Tanner) and Jackson Kettelkamp; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Ethan, Addison, Mackenzie, Asher, Ronen, Robin and Evelyn; and her brother Keith Phelps (Kay). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a countryside full of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Kaneville United Methodist Church (46W450 Main Street Rd, Elburn, IL 60119). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
