He is survived by: his parents, James Wood of Indiana and Silka Melendez of Kankakee; his wife Laura Wood of Manteno; his children, Brittany Tegarden, Marissa Wood, Alicia Wood of Manteno, Jasmine Wood of Manteno, Michael Wood of Manteno and Emma Wood of Manteno; his sisters, Micaela Ryan (Derek) of Kankakee, Vilma Wood (Jen) of Kankakee, Jamie Wood-Benoit (Joseph Benoit) of Plainfield and Brenda Pagano (Brian) of Rockford; his stepsisters, Shannon Whitmore and Amanda Whitmore; and his brother Shaun Wood. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family wishes for the children's education.
