He is survived by: his wife Ann Lax of Kankakee, IL; his children, Heather Lax of Chicago, IL, Sarah Lax Carter of Chicago, IL and Derrick; his granddaughter Madison Carter of Chicago, IL; his siblings, Herbert Lax of South Bend, IN, Darryl Lax (Janice) of South Bend, IN, Ronald Lax of South Bend, IN, Durrell Lax (Marie) of Bel Alton, MD, Jerry Lax (Carolyn) of Texas, Donna Haynes of South Bend, IN and Pamela Lax of South Bend, IN; his siblings-in-law, Grady Byrd (Bettye) of College Park, GA, Lois Jenkins (Frank III) of Montgomery, AL and Jettie Butler of Texas; and his goddaughters, Erica Stewart and Tatyona Marie Corbin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
