Though Bertha may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bertha leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Luis Arroyo Martinez and Emelia Rafaela Martinez Villagomez. She is survived by: her husband Edi Zavala of Kankakee; her children, Tanya Pizano (Jose) of St. Anne and Eric Zavala (Taylor) of Kankakee; and her grandchildren, Leonardo Pizano and Eliana Zavala. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kankakee - Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home (1480 W Court St, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 953 S 9th St, Kankakee, IL 60901.
