She is survived by: her children, Anthony Lawrence (Gail) of Kankakee, IL, Samantha Barbieri (Steven) of Kankakee, IL and Shaquita Sessions of Lewisville, TX; her former husband Maurice Sessions of Atlanta, GA; her siblings, Catherine Thompson (John) of Kankakee, IL, Martha Lawrence (Clint) of Kankakee, IL, Mary Lawrence of Kankakee, IL, Lula B. Hinds of Kankakee, IL, Lena Hinds of Chebanse, IL, Sarah Ann Minor of Hampton, VA, Willie Lawrence (Maxine) of Chebanse, IL, Robert Lawrence (Jeannie) of Chebanse, IL, Kevin Lawrence (Diane) of Chebanse, IL, Timmy Lawrence of Chebanse, IL, David Lawrence of Chebanse, IL, Jerry Lawrence (Yolanda) of Bradley, IL, Jessie Hinds (Adrienne) of Bradley, IL, Bobby Hinds of Minnesota and Kenneth Jones (Naomi) of Atlanta, GA; her aunts, Carrie Baptist of Kankakee, IL, Eliza Hines of Kankakee, IL and Annie Kyles of Starkville, MS; her godchildren, Yolanda Parker, Katina Hankins, Andrea Shoupe Schoonover and Jose Gonzalez; her cousins, Ruby Sessions and Willa Mae Fields; and her close friends, Clara Hennessey, Renda Bradley and Tasha Lewis. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church (1591 E Cedar St, Kankakee, IL 60901-2632).
