He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Miguel Gamez Gaitan and Oliva Gonzalez Campos; his children, Carlos Gamez Jr. of St. Anne, Oliva Gamez of Kankakee and Julia Lopez (Adrian) of Kankakee; and his siblings, Amparo Gonzalez (Alfonso) of Kankakee, Miguel Gamez, Juan Gamez (Martha) of Kankakee, Oliverio Gamez (Debbie) of Kankakee and Roberto Gamez (Ana) of Woodstock. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren.
