We announce the death of Christine Jarvis of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Daylor and Cecelia Daylor (Bourgeois); her sisters, Avril Newsom and Suzanne Burgdorf; her husband David L. Jarvis; and her son Curtis Jarvis.
She is survived by: her son Scott Jarvis (April) of Dewey, IL; her sister Jill Kamphoff of Eden Prairie, MN; and her niece Lisa Yohnka of Momence, IL. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (428 S Indiana Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chris's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
