He was predeceased by: his parents, F. M. Petry and Mildred M. Petry (Zook). He is survived by: his wife Carrie Petry of Kankakee; his sons, Zachary Petry of Herscher and Lucas Petry (Anna) of Bloomington; his siblings, Darjean Osburn (Milton) of Castle Rock, CO and Richard Petry (Catherine) of Lakewood, CO; and his grandchildren, BreLee Petry, Augustus Petry and Atlas Petry.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kankakee - Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home (1480 W Court St, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
