It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eldon E. Wendling of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wendling and Florence Wendling (Reardanz); his son Alan Wendling; and his siblings, Elmer Wendling (Mildred), Clarence Wendling (Delma), Harold Wendling (Arlene), Phyllis Lockwood and Betty Sharper (Lester).
He is survived by: his children, David Wendling (Rhonda) of Bradley, Douglas Wendling (Nikki) of Manteno, Anita Poteete (Jeff) of Bourbonnais, Amanda Bennett (Jason) of Clarksville, TN and Shirley Raiolo of Morrison, CO; his siblings, Sherry Metcalf (Ben) of Dripping Springs, TX, Linda Gadbois (Barry) of Bourbonnais, Raymond Wendling (Toni) of Vero Beach, FL and Fred Wendling (Sharon) of Bonfield; his sister-in-law Doreen Wendling of Peoria; his grandchildren, Sara Bell, Conor Powell, Landen Henshaw, Emily Wendling, Felicia LaMore, Megan Wendling, Jake Wendling, Kyleigh Bennett, Leiah Bennett, Jax Bennett and Lee Raiolo Power; and his great grandchildren, Jayden Bell, Myles and Brooks LaMore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
