With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene M. Jensen of Kankakee, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene M. Jensen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Devine and Arlene Devine (Berns); her husband Dr. Danny Jensen; her siblings, Joseph Devine, Robert Devine and Beverly Lanton; and her brother-in-law Michael Rivard.
She is survived by: her siblings, David Jensen (Dean Jensen), Agnes Rivard of Bradley, Barbara Devine Nitz (Joe) of Bourbonnais, Angela Devine of Kankakee, Rose Mitchell (Gary) of Kankakee, Gerald Devine of Chebanse, Edward Devine Jr. of Bradley, Gregory Devine (Marla) of Chebanse and Maurice Devine (Valerie) of El Paso, TX; her siblings-in-law, Dennis, Linda Jensen of Bourbonnais, Mary Ann Devine of Big Spring, TX and Gary Lanton of Kankakee; and her close friends, Molly Jones and Rhonda Berns. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (428 S Indiana Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Shapiro Developmental Center, or Foundation for Fighting Blindness.
