With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn M. Thompson of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Hill and Bertha Hill; her husband Philip D. Thompson; her son-in-law John Hayes; and her siblings, Jurene Hill, Eleanor Nelson, Eileen Harris, Norman Hill, Carl Hill, Duane Hill, Earnie Hill, Alvin Hill and Ralph Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Thompson (Gina) of Kankakee, Jeffrey Thompson (Debra) of Gardner, Cynthia Hayes of Hatfield, PA, Karen Glaves (Bill) of Bourbonnais, IL and Janis Serena (Carmen) of Kankakee; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Sandberg of Kankakee. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
