He was predeceased by: his parents, John Offenbecher and Mary Offenbecher (Kray); his wife Margaret Coghlan; his daughter Patricia Grant; and his sister Mary Grierson.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Offenbecher (Donna) of Urbana, Jean Hill (Peter) of Georgia, Alan Offenbecher (Kristen Beth) of Plainfield and Linda Offenbecher of Westchester; his son-in-law David Grant of Kankakee; his grandchildren, Beth, Jeff, Amanda, Julia, Gregory, Michael, Samuel and Zoe; and his great grandchildren, Payton and Samantha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kankakee Valley Theatre Association, Honor Flight Chicago, and St. John United Church of Christ.
