He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Emling and Genevieve Emling (Schmidt); and his siblings, Gerald, Tommy Joe, Ralph and Madonna Hoffman.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Emling of Kankakee; his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Debbie Emling of Herscher; his daughters, Chris (Jeff Reilly) and Claudia (Brian Noe); his sisters, Patricia Devine of Ventura, CA and Mary Lou Murphy of Cabery; his brother-in-law Danny Hoffman of Herscher; his brother Mike Emling of Chatsworth; and his sister-in-law Betty Emling of Cullom. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
