She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Marsalli and Rose Marsalli (Lera); her husband Harold Gierke; her son Ronald Gierke; and her daughter-in-law Mary Gierke.
She is survived by: her son Michael Gierke of Kankakee; her sisters, Theresa Giacchino (Joseph) of Bradley and Marie Marsalli of Kankakee; her grandsons, Mason Gierke (Jen) of Kankakee and Mitchell Gierke of Warrenville; and her great grandchild Cori Sims of Kankakee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at 953 S 9th St, Kankakee, IL 60901.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
