With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marcos A. Acevedo (Kankakee, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Horacio Acevedo; his wife Sue Acevedo; and his sister Chela Acevedo. He is survived by: his mother Elena Acevedo; his children, Kelly, David Zinanni, Kimberly, Chris Milling, Marc and Nicole Acevedo; his siblings, Maria, Pilar Spargur, Rosa Deneau (Jon), Chito Acevedo (Marilyn), Javier Acevedo (Mindy) and David Acevedo; his sister-in-law Nancy Smith (Robert); and his grandchildren, Mario Zinanni (Colby), Rocco Zinanni (Morgan), Angeline Zinanni, Nicolette Mook (Drew), Giana Lamore (Connor), Drew Wilson (Emily), Noah Acevedo (Brianna), Gavin Paquette, Trenton Acevedo and Dylan Acevedo. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
