With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael John Wayer of Kankakee, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael left this world on October 27, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Wayer and Mary Wayer (Madecyzk); his former wife Preceding; and his sister Patricia Macievic (Wayer). He is survived by: his wife Virginia H. Wayer (Kmiecik); his children, Ali (Jeff Dumas), Jason (Misti) and Teri (Travis Crumrine); his grandchildren, Ollie, Sophia, Gabriella, Spencer, Isaac and Stella; his brother Vincent Wayer; and his brother-in-law Gregory Macievic.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (428 S Indiana Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
