It is with sadness that the passing of Paul I. Cook of Kankakee, Illinois is shared. Paul, born on July 22, 1938, passed away on September 16, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Paul I. Cook to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Cook and Thelma Cook (Davenport); his wife Patty Cook; his great grandchild Emerson Scurrah; and his brother-in-law Archibald Woodruff.
He is survived by: his children, Ian Cook (Alicia) of Lemon Grove, CA, Christopher Cook of Kankakee, Sarah Bennett (Barry) of Kankakee and Pauline Cook of Kankakee; and his siblings, Linnis Cook of Atlanta, GA and Lee Cook (Mary) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Mound Grove Gardens Cemetery (1000 N Greenwood Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Limestone Church of the Nazarene (863 N 5000 Rd W, Kankakee, IL 60901).
