He was predeceased by: his parents, John Christie and Mary Christie (Farsetta); his granddaughter Sophia; and his siblings, Eddie Christie and Grace Carmichael.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie M. Christie of Kankakee; his children, Eric Christie (Sarah) of Florida, Peter II Christie (Jessica) of Limestone, Amy Gervasi (Cody) of Portland, OR and Mary Christie of Oak Park; his grandchildren, Blain, Luke, Natalie, Penelope, Michael and Harmony; and his brother John Christie (Jane) of Gilman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
