He was predeceased by: his spouse Rosann; and his grandson Joe Albrecht. He is survived by: his sons, Nelson Albrecht (Cheryl) and Brian Albrecht (Shobana); and his grandchildren, Kelly Chernick (Michael), Julia Albrecht, Nick Albrecht, Vikram Albrecht (Molly Senzig), Lali Albrecht and Kamala Albrecht.
