It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph H. Wheeler of Kankakee, Illinois, born in Momence, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wheeler and Eva Donaldson Wheeler; his sisters, Linda Koets and Joyce Ann Zinninger; and his grandson Adam Cain.

He is survived by: his wife Mary H. Wheeler (Brouillette) of Kankakee; his children, Louann Lucas (Mike), Lorie Cain (Ron), Michael Wheeler (Cara) and Douglas Wheeler (Christine); his grandchildren, Aaron Wheeler (Rachel), Benjamin Lucas, Jacob Lucas (Madison), Ashley Wheeler, Eric Wheeler, Heather Evers (John), Emily Cain, Olivia Cain, Lauren Cain, Sophia Cain and Preston Cain-Burger; and his close friend Jeff Jacob. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to River Valley Christian Fellowship, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Grace Christian Academy, and River Valley Animal Rescue.
