He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile Messier and Josephine Messier (Ignacowitz); and his brother David Messier (Yvonne). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou of Kankakee; his sons, Val Messier (Beth) of Limestone, Bryan Messier (Lisa) of Bradley and Allen Messier (Donna) of Limestone; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Messier, Samantha Werner (Tyler), John Raimondo (Hannah), Cara Becker (John) and Jenna Soucie. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
