She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora Sanders and R. L. Sanders Sr.; her daughter Tranisha Dunigan; and her nephew Marcus Sanders. She is survived by: her daughters, Shemika Sanders of Columbus, Chanice Jones of Kankakee, IL and Jamice Jones of Springfield, IL; her grandchildren, Jakyah Guyton, Kamiyah Jones, Sariyah Curry, Aniyah Jones, Calvin Williams and Tyteauna Sanders; her great grandchild Tanayah Sanders; her siblings, Glenda Sanders of Kankakee, IL, Theresa Sanders Wilson (Larry), R. L. Sanders Jr. (Chris), Jarame Sanders (Victoria), Robert Sanders (Yolanda) and Jermane Sanders (Charmone Irving); her aunts and uncles, Aretha Boatman, Loretha Washington, Libra Douglas and Stanley Washington (Margaret); and her niece Takia Sanders. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lax Mortuary (187 S Greenwood Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
