She is survived by: her significant other Gus Whitlow; her daughters, Twilla Thomas (David) of Kankakee, Juwana Buckhanon of Champaign, IL and Reiko Whitlow of Lake Jackson, Texas; her grandchildren, Kalisha, Latyia, Ericka, Nieka, Travien, Kerry George, Zioni, Kedari, Semaj, Jenesis, Serenity and Selah; her niece Kamala Jefferson; her son-in-law Kerry Buckhanon; her godson Johnny "Lil Charles" Williams; her siblings, Tommy Thomas and Carol Petty (Calvin); her nibling Paris Chapple; her granddaughter Tiana Moore; her great grandchild McKenzie McDowell; and her sister Eola Chapple. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-laws, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM.
