William Leyser Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2025, at the age of 85, William Leyser of Kankakee, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick J. Leyser and Theresa F. Mueller; and his sisters, Mary C. Leyser and Charlotte Peter. He is survived by: his wife Verna Thinnes of Kankakee; his brother John E. Leyser of Mason, MI; his stepchildren, Angie Thinnes (Cynthia) of Kankakee, Sharon Steffan (Jay) of Custer Park, Paul Thinnes of Midway, AR and James Thinnes (Brenda) of Lombard; and his grandchildren, Ben Stojack, Rhiannon Thinnes, Xander Thinnes, Rory Steffan and Connor Steffan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
