Marilyn I. Gough Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2025, at the age of 92, Marilyn I. Gough (Kansas, Illinois) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn I. Gough to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Tanner and Helen Tanner (Price); her siblings, Mona Rae Jones and Frank Tanner; her husband John Gough of Kansas; and her daughter Johnna Cottle (Bruce) of Kansas.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gale Wood (John) of Paris and Tammy Gough (Stewart) of Dallas; her granddaughters, Kendall Chisholm (Jeff) of Naperville, Andrea Halloran (Jared) of Paris, Hayley Almburg (Eric) of Kansas and Madelyn Munie (Mitchell) of Pocahontas; her stepgranddaughters, Jennifer Nay and Lindsay Edwards; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Connor Chisholm, Carson, Luke Halloran, Caroline, John Almburg and Lorelai Munie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kansas United Methodist Church (200 Buena Vista St, Kansas, IL 61933). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Edgar County Humane Association or to the Edgar County Shrine Club.
