He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Howell Altenberger; his sister Bernita Owen; and his parents, Paul Altenberger and Bertha Mae Bost Altenberger. He is survived by: his daughter Julia Nutty of Paducah, Kentucky; and his brother Danny Altenberger of Hillsboro, Illinois. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
