He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Boettcher and Jean Metter Larson. He is survived by: his wife Rose Oxley; his children, Marcy Marie King of Rock Falls, Keith Boettcher of Lyndon and Juston Boettcher of Good Hope, Illinois; and his siblings, Scott, Sandy and Cindy Boettcher. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Boston Museum or Keithsburg Boat Club.
