It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenton L. Johnston of Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Guy Walter, Marjorie Ripka, Frank Clifford Johnston, Robert and Georgene Bridgeman; and his uncles, Frank Johnston, Ronald Johnston, Donald Johnston and Guy Ripka.

He is survived by: his parents, Randy Johnston and Nancy Ripka Johnston; his stepmother Suzan Johnston of Springfield, MO; his brother Eric Johnston of Morton, IL; his stepsiblings, Kenneth L. Moore, Jr. and Angela Moore of Springfield, MO; and his aunts and uncles, Jim Ripka, Richard Ripka (Ruth), David (Caryl), Danny Johnston (Paula Rushing), Trudy Ripka of Germantown Hills, IL, Judith Zimmerman (Richard) and Ruth Ripka.
