The memory of Esther Francine Jones of Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jones and Maxine Jones (Veril); her husband Edwin P. Jones Sr.; her children, Kathy Calef and Willard Geick; her siblings, Robert, Mary Faye and Jackie; her grandson Jason Calef; and her great grandchildren, William Jr. and Danielle.
She is survived by: her children, Barb Atkinson of Galva, Vicky Collinson (Kent) of Galva, Sherry Jones of Kewanee, Edwin Jones Jr. of Kewanee, Betty Mercer (Ted) of Kewanee and William Jones of Kewanee; and her siblings, Butch Vance of Canton, Donnie Worlow of Pekin, Carol Lee Slane of Canton, Donna Hoser of East Peoria and Lori Towery Massingale of Indiana. She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rux Funeral Homes (507 S Chestnut St, Kewanee, IL 61443). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
