He was predeceased by: his father William Palen. He is survived by: his mother Irene Palen (Atkinson); his girlfriend Kelli; his children, Skyler Palen (Brittnee), Cory Palen (Therese McCalden), Austin Palen (Marissa Scarangella), Breanne Bryner (Quentin) and Rayanne Busboom; his grandchildren, Hayden, Kellen Palen, Jovie Bryner, Paisley Smith and Ismael Astorga; and his siblings, Andrew Palen (Jeanne) and Sue Siedel.
