He is survived by: his wife Edith Mae Hall; his children, Michael DeReu (Nicole) of Mascoutah, Blake DeReu (Jessica) of Kewanee, Nichole Aleshire (Aaron) of Olympia, WA and Cassandra Kubinsky; his siblings, Kevin of Kewanee, Jimmy DeReu of Kewanee and Nancy Bates; and his grandchildren, Thomas, Wyatt, Walter, Weston, Walker, Alexis, Maddison, SáRyah, Kemistri, Ayonah, Judah, Cherish, Olivia, Bailey, Brayden and Braxton.
