He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nancy Lee Nell (VanWaes) and Jerome Dee'Jerry'Nell; his wife Julie Hadsall; his pets, Coco and Taylor; his friend Melinda'Mo'; his sisters, Cherri Brackett (Steve) and Lisa Harper (Richard); his niece Traci Toohill (Jerome); his nephews, Benjamin Bracket (Mianna), Jerome Williams (Kelsy) and John Arthur Williams III; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah Kirk, Audrey Toohill, Aiden, Austin Toohill and Knox Williams. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a community full of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rux Funeral Homes (507 S Chestnut St, Kewanee, IL 61443). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Saint John Paul II Parish (406 W Central Blvd, Kewanee, IL 61443).
Flowers are welcome but in lieu of; memorials may be directed to the Jerry Nell Fund or to the Henry County Humane Society, in Troy's name.
